Leather Marketing and Processing guide

The concept of this web site is that it should be a reference for readers to use whenever and wherever they want. There are three main themes: leather technology, leather industry history, and marketing. So if you are passionate about the leather industry you should be able to spend some enjoyable time browsing.

It is intended to be a growing stable resource which you will always be able to find. Feel free to use the material freely, but with acknowledgement. It is copyrighted.

In the history section from 2004 we have introduced material specific to the Booth Group, covering its history from 1860 to the present day. We look at its historical timeline, its prospects, its companies and its place in the global leather industry. In doing so we are actively seeking information of any sort on the business of Booths that will add to the body of knowledge about the company. Some further information may also be available on the site www.boothandco.com which is the site of Booth and Co. in Boston where Ken Chapman still runs a trading business evolved out of the original business.

From January 2001 we have been supported by www.leatherbiz.com. www.leatherbiz.com provides a nice balance to the Leather Companion as it provides the time sensitive and truly current information that the busy executive needs. We will provide links throughout the site and would encourage readers to use both sites in conjunction.
